For eighteen years, I spent my time educating doctors on how they should help their patients to lower their blood sugar and weight.

“Calories in, calories out”

“Eat less. Move more. Repeat”

“It’s all about eating a balanced diet.”

I believed it. Because for a while I was able to use it to keep my weight in check.

But that did not last. It wasn’t long before all of that restriction took its toll…

I tried low carb, then a ketogenic diet and felt a little better but STILL didn't see the fat loss results of the effort I put in.

I created Karnivore Unlocked because I lived through this too.

I did keto.

I went Carnivore and things got a lot better and I lost body fat. It was amazing but for. me, there was still work to do. When I pushed my body too hard even on Carnivore eating less and continuing to “cut”…

My body revolted. I had

Excessive hair shedding every time I washed my hair and piles in the drain in the shower.
Poor sleep and waking up wide awake in the middle of the night
Bloating and food sensitivities so fierce I’d unbutton my pants in the car
Hypothyroid chills in offices set at 72 degrees.
Fat loss plateaus

Until I rebuilt my plan around hormones first.

I lost 10 lbs in 3 weeks.

The bloat vanished. I felt leaner, less puffy and more like myself again.

And for the first time in years, I wasn't constantly hungry. 

The Karnivore Method is different because it’s not just low carb or high protein. 

It’s a 3-step system that resets your hormones so your metabolism actually responds again:

1. Listen to your body— Use a simple2-metric dashboard (glucose + ketones) to confirm when your body is burning fat (and when it’s not).

The Problem Was Never the Calories…
For decades, women have been taught: Eat less + move more = lose weight.

But the biggest, longest, most expensive studies in medical history prove that isn’t true.

In a trial of 48,000 women who ate fewer calories and worked out more for 8 straight years… the average weight loss was just 2 pounds. (JAMA, 2006)
A meta-analysis of 80+ studies showed calorie restriction alone leads to almost no weight loss after 2 years. (Franz et al., JADA, 2007)
Even the strictest diets failed after 6 months. The weight always came back. (AHRQ, 2001)
Why?

Because the real problem was never how much you were eating.

It’s how your metabolism responds to what you eat.

And when you eat less for too long, your body doesn't burn more fat.

It actually learns to burn less.

Your system slows down.

Your cravings spike.

And your fat-burning switch flips off.

What’s behind all of that?
